Gen. Buhari Escapes death in the Kaduna Bomb Blast...

Former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari, who escaped  bomb attack on Wednesday in Kaduna, has given insight into how he survived the deadly attack.
Buhari said all of a sudden he discovered blood stains on his clothes and there was confusion everywhere, stressing that it was time for all Nigerians to fight terrorism in order to bring peace and stability to the country.
The retired General disclosed this when Kaduna State Governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero went to sympathise with him at his residence in the state capital.
Buhari said: “This thing was ignited exactly when my car was almost side by side with the bomber’s car, I came out, there was blood on my clothes, I did not know how it came about because I did not have a scratch myself, but there were dead bodies all over the place. The security tried to move me to the other side and we just got one of the vehicles passing and they brought me home.
“When this question of Boko Haram started, I am sure, it was on record that the first statement I made about 18 months ago, was that no religion advocates what is happening. So, basically, it is neither the case of religion, nor ethnicity. They kill children in schools in the North East, they kill teachers, they burn churches, they burn mosques, they burn motor parks, they burn markets. Where is religion there, where is ethnicity there? This is terrorism and I hope the government will come to grip with it.
“Nigeria is capable of dealing with this; we dealt with it  in the civil war. For 30 months, we fought and we kept Nigeria one and God’s willing we are going to keep Nigeria together. I commiserate with the families of those that died. I hope the law enforcement agencies and the chief executives of the states will succeed in securing the country. May God help us.”
Earlier, Governor Ramalan Yero said he came to visit the General to sympathise with him and thank Allah for saving his life.
He said: “From the attack on our former respected Head of State and the learned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, it is very obvious that terrorism has gone beyond religion, political and ethnic lines.
“Nobody in his right sense would come out to tell us that what happened in the state on Wednesday is because of religious belief or political ideology. If you kill everybody I wonder who would follow your religious belief or political ideology.”
The governor said that it was no longer business as usual as the sad incident was a wake-up call not only to the security agencies but to every resident of the state.
